JonAnna Curry Warren, 54, of 2688 Piney Grove Church Rd., Littleton, NC, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC.

JonAnna was born in Richland County, SC and the daughter of the late Raymond Curry, Sr. and Ruth Mae Johnson Curry. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother Margaret R. Curry and a brother Raymond Curry, Jr.

JonAnna was an educator in the Halifax County school system. She had retired in 2008 as a teacher at Everetts Elementary School.

She is survived by two sons, Billy Clemmons and his wife, Samantha, of Halifax; David Clemmons and his wife, Lisa, of Rock Hill, S.C.; four brothers, Bill Curry of Littleton, Ronald Curry and his wife, Tina, of Jackson, Charles Curry and his wife, Teresa, and James Curry and his wife, Rebecca, of Roanoke Rapids; three grandchildren, Myra Clemmons, Mariah Harris and Nichole Clemmons.

Graveside services will be held Saturday May 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Ricky Barnes officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 15, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids and other times at the home.
